Support Each Other exemplifies Aliyu Aminu Ahmed’s signature Art Jollof language—a practice rooted in layered density, rhythmic abstraction, and the deliberate shaping of complexity into meaning. The surface emerges through accumulative gesture, where broad, assertive strokes coexist with finer, intimate markings, allowing the composition to build toward a purposeful state of visual saturation rather than restraint.

The palette moves fluidly across earthy browns and deep reds, activated by vibrant inflections of yellow, pink, and turquoise. These tonal shifts create moments of tension and release, echoing emotional and social dynamics. At the center of the work, bold white stick-figure forms—outlined with rhythmic black dots—function as symbolic anchors. They represent unity, interdependence, and the shared human instinct to support and uplift one another.

Organic shapes and looping lines introduce a sense of movement and negotiation, suggesting struggle, adjustment, and the search for balance.
